LowryMoth artist statement

LowryMoth is the studio of maker, curator and educator Kirsty Lowry, based in London, UK

Foundational to these interconnecting practices is an enduring interest in environmental psychology; how the elemental conditions of place affect mood, health, wellbeing and behaviour.

As a curatorial practice I develop participatory workshops, projects and exhibitions that combine material and social engagement. As a maker I take the tradition of basketry as a datum from which to engage with material forms of knowledge construction and ecological thinking to advocate for more holistic and embodied practices in mainstream education.
